June 6-29, 2025
Reeyna Daniel and Ruben Rodriguez (West Wing)
Daniel’s ceramics, a collection named Fractured Oasis, is a series exploring the beauty and tension in brokenness: cracked, fissured and repaired surfaces that mirror crumbling systems, fragmented architecture and the quiet resilience of nature. It also challenges the notion all fractures must be repaired or that broken equals discarded.
My American Review comprises some of Rodriguez’s collection of album covers dating from the 50s-80s on which he has painted around the figures to redefine the context. Hand tinted postcards and black and white photos, smaller historical canvases complete the collection.
Edward Montgomery (East Wing)
Montgomery's Kinetic Ambiguity project is created using a lot of camera movement with long exposures and his signature post-production formula, to create the illusion of moving much faster than reality. Joshua Trees, power lines, mountainous horizons and others, make up the principal characters in this story being told about the south-western edge of the Mojave Desert.
Artists’ Guild members will also display a variety of new works in the Members Room this month.
The exhibition will be on display at the gallery June 6-29, open Friday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Opening Reception: Saturday, June 7 (5 to 7 pm)
