For the month of July, we will be moving the opening reception, for the July-August members show to Friday July 4th, from 5-9 pm. Come enjoy your 4th of July at the Twentynine Palms Art Gallery We will have music, and fun & games for all. Once it gets dark, we will have chairs out for viewing of the fireworks show put on by Tortoise Rock Casino. Food for purchase will be provided by B&M Foods, a popular vendor at the 29 Palms Farmers Market. Please bring a side dish or dessert to share potluck style. Help us create a new art feature at the gallery. We will be painting rock snakes to be put in the gardens around the gallery. You can paint your own rock and add it to one of the snakes in the garden. This will be a fun activity for kids and adults alike and will be a lasting art piece at the gallery. Don’t forget the theme for the July-August Member’s show is Galactic Gathering. This theme coincides with the Rediscover29 – Area 29 – Galactic Gathering event August 15-17, 2025. So, get your creative juices flowing and think alien worlds, fantastical creatures, cosmic landscapes, and anything your imagination can dream up. Intake for this show is June 30, from 10am – 1 pm. Additionally, this year we will be having a closing reception for the members show on Saturday August 16th. More details to come about that soon.

The 29 Palms Art Gallery was one of the community partners at Palm Vista’s 2nd Annual Family Fun Day at Knott’s Sky Park on May 10th. Students contributed to a canvas, which was framed and presented to the school, during morning announcements on May 12th, by board member Ruben Rodriguez. The canvas proudly hangs in Palm Vista’s front office. Pictured with Mr. Rodriguez is Dr. Claudette Onumah, Principal. Additionally, the 29 Palms Art Gallery is expanding their relationship with Palm Vista Elementary School to offer students weekly art classes starting in the fall.
